We're looking for a top-notch communicator with strong product management experience to own the product lifecycle from concept to marketing launch and beyond.
Reporting to the Head of Product Portfolio, as our Product Manager for plant phenotyping technology and tools, you will be responsible for the salability and economic success of our products. Your main focus will be on the following:
Product Strategy
Develop and execute the product roadmap in alignment with company objectives and define product vision, positioning and differentiation.
Conduct market research to identify customer needs, industry trends and competitive landscape.
Product Development
Collaborate with the R&D, engineering and application teams to guide product design and development.
Specify product requirements through detailed product requirement documents.
Ensure adherence to project timelines, budgets and quality standards.
Customer Engagement
Act as the voice of the customer by gathering feedback and insights through interviews, surveys and field visits.
Partner with key customers to pilot and validate new products or features.
Marketing and Sales Support
Work with the marketing team to develop product collateral, presentations and campaigns.
Train the sales team on product features, value proposition and competitive advantages, and support sales efforts.
Data-Driven Decision Making
Monitor product performance metrics, customer feedback and market trends.
Use data to make informed decisions about product enhancements and lifecycle management.
Your profile
You have at least 3 years experience in product management (preferably in a technical area such as scientific instruments or agriculture technology). A BSc or MSc in plant sciences, plant breeding, agricultural engineering or a related field would be a plus.
You preferably have understanding of plant phenotyping methodologies and technologies, and you are familiar with hardware and software development processes. Your communication and presentation skills in English are excellent, and you have an entrepreneurial mind set. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment and a collaborative, customer-focused mindset complete your profile.
